In 1997, Aksh emerged as a pioneering strategic market consulting firm with a primary focus on the Oleo chemicals sector. Founded by Arun Taploo, who brought a wealth of experience from his distinguished role as a senior VP at a chemicals conglomerate, the venture swiftly delivered substantial value for its partners. Over time, Aksh strategically diversified its portfolio, expanding into marketing representation, manufacturing, and distribution.

Aksh was founded by Arun Taploo, a former vice-president at Aegis Chemicals – a part of the global conglomerate Comcraft Group. Arun is an MBA alumni of the prestigious Kellog Business School at Northwestern University.

Recently, Aksh released its brand VERITAO, an artisanal sustainable skincare line that aims to introduce a new narrative to skincare and drive sustainability forward in a meaningful way. The brand is focused on the idea that skincare can be a mindfulness practice that fosters a sense of presence and calm in our busy days, rather than the dominant industry perspective that your skin is a problem to be solved (acne, anti-aging etc.). Its packaging is refillable and compostable refills, made of wood cellulose and bio-based polymers, are available – a significant improvement on the buy and dispose model of the industry currently. VERITAO is Aksh’s first step into the FMCG space and is to be followed by other brands in the coming years.
